How do I sell tickets at the door or over the phone?

Click Box Office in the left menu to sell tickets in person and record cash or card payments. It opens full screen and works best on a tablet or laptop.

Make a sale

1. Click Box Office in the left menu.
2. Choose the event.
3. Choose the session.
4. Use + and - to add tickets and extras to the cart.
5. Add a coupon code if needed and click APPLY.
6. Click PAY.
7. Enter the customer's First name, Last name and Email. Add a phone number if you like.
8. Choose Cash or Card, enter the Amount and click ADD.
9. Tick Check-in tickets if the customer is walking in now.
10. Click COMPLETE PURCHASE.

The tickets are emailed to the customer at the email address you entered.

Split payments

If a customer pays part cash and part card, add each payment separately. Balance Remaining shows what's left to pay.

Notes

• Card payments are taken on your own card machine. Box Office records the amount. It doesn't charge the card.
• You can add tickets for more than one event or session to the same order. Use the delete icon to remove an item from the cart.
• Box Office sales count towards your capacity and tier quantities, just like online sales.
• In your ticket list, Box Office sales show the payment as Manual.
• Refunding a Box Office sale: Box Office doesn't connect to your card machine, so give the money back yourself, in cash or on your own card machine. Then cancel the tickets in the admin so they can't be used. See How do I refund or cancel a ticket?.
• If you have internet at the door, keep online sales open too, so people can buy on their phones.
• Give door staff the Box Office role. They can sell tickets and scan, but can't edit events or download customer data.
