Refunds and resale money go back to the card or account you paid with. Allow up to 10 business days for your bank to show it. It's often faster.
Timing
- Refunds: once processed, they usually reach your account within 5 to 10 business days.
- Resale: when your ticket sells, your sale price is sent back to the card you bought with, usually within 5 to 10 business days.
Banks often show the money as a credit or reversal against the original purchase, not as a new payment. Check your statement for the original transaction.
Your card has changed since you bought
- Same bank, new card: you don't need to do anything. Your bank will pass the money to your account.
- Closed the account, same bank: allow 5 to 10 business days. Your bank will usually trace the money into your new account.
- Closed the account and changed banks: wait 10 business days, then submit a support request. Banks and payment providers need 10 business days before they can look into it.
Paid with Apple Pay or Google Pay
Some refunds go back to your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Check there, as well as your card statement, before you contact us.
Paid with Afterpay or Zip
The money goes back to your Afterpay or Zip account, which then adjusts your payments. Some providers can't take a refund after a certain time. If yours is rejected, we'll contact you to arrange another way to pay you.
Still waiting?
If it's been more than 10 business days:
- Check the account linked to the card you paid with, and your wallet if you used Apple Pay or Google Pay.
- Submit a support request with your name, the event and the email you bought with.
What happens after 10 business days?
We look into it for you.
- If the money hasn't bounced back to the organiser, we give you a reference number. Give it to your bank so they can trace the refund into your account.
- If your bank still can't find it, ask them for a letter confirming the payment bounced or didn't arrive. We use it to follow up directly with the organiser's payment provider.
Cases like this are rare, but they can take extra time to resolve. Whatever your situation, we'll walk you through each step and stay with you until it's resolved with the organiser, the banks and the payment providers.
