Every refund decision is up to the event organiser. Most events don't refund for a change of plans, but you can sell your ticket or change the name on it instead.
Can't go any more?
These are usually the fastest way to get your money back or pass your ticket on.
- Sell it. List your ticket on resale. When it sells, you get your sale price back on your card. See How do I sell or transfer my ticket?.
- Give it to someone. Change the name on the ticket to a friend who can go. See How do I change the name on my ticket?.
When a refund may be possible
Submit a support request as soon as possible if:
- you bought the wrong ticket or bought the same tickets twice. See I bought the wrong ticket or want to upgrade
- the event has been cancelled, or the date or venue has changed. See What happens if my event is cancelled or postponed?
- you've spoken to the organiser and they've asked us to refund you as a special exception
We'll check the order and work it out with the organiser.
Charged but didn't get a ticket? That's not a refund case. We'll find or fix your ticket. See My payment failed or I was charged but got no ticket.
Request a refund in My Tickets
Some organisers let you ask for a refund yourself. If yours does, you'll see Request Refund on your ticket.
- Log in and open MY TICKETS. See Where are my tickets and how do I download them?.
- Find your event and click TICKETS.
- Click the settings icon next to the ticket, then Request Refund.
- Choose a Reason for refund. If you choose Other, tell us more in the box.
- Click SUBMIT REQUEST.
Your ticket shows Refund Requested while it's being reviewed. Your ticket stays valid until a refund is made. Changed your mind? Click the settings icon, then Cancel Refund Request.
The organiser decides whether to refund. If it's approved, the refund goes back to your original payment method automatically. If you haven't heard back after 10 business days, submit a support request.
If you don't see Request Refund, the organiser isn't taking refund requests for that ticket. Contact them for their refund terms, or sell or transfer your ticket instead.
How refunds are paid
- Refunds go back to the card or payment method you used to buy.
- They can take up to 10 business days to reach your account, depending on your bank. See When will I get my refund or resale money?.
- Whether booking fees are refunded is up to the organiser.
- Pulse doesn't charge organisers anything for refunding a ticket. Banks and payment providers do keep their own processing fees on a refunded payment, which is why some organisers don't refund booking fees.
Notes
- Check the event page and the organiser's terms for their refund policy before you buy.
- Refund requests are at the organiser's discretion. Contact them for their refund terms. See Who do I ask about the event itself?.
