Reserved seating lets buyers pick their exact section, row and seat on an interactive map of your venue. You build the venue layout once, attach it to your event, then link sections and rows to your ticket tiers.
Before you start
Reserved seating is turned on by our team, one event at a time. Create your event first and leave it as a draft, then submit a support request with the event name and ask for reserved seating to be turned on. Once it's on, you'll see Venue Layout in the event's Details step and a Seat Map step.
Can't access seating plans for your event? Contact us and we'll turn it on at no extra cost.
How it fits together
- Build a venue layout. Add seated sections with rows and seats, standing or general admission areas, and shapes such as the stage. See How do I build a seating layout for my venue?.
- Attach the layout to your event. Choose it in the Details step or the Seat Map step. Events with several sessions can use a different layout for each session. See How do I set up a reserved seating event?.
- Link seats to ticket tiers. Each tier gets one or more sections or row ranges. This sets which seats sell at which price. See How do I link seats, rows and GA areas to my ticket tiers?.
- Publish. Buyers choose their seats on the map and check out as normal. See What do buyers see when they choose seats?.
What you can do
- Mix reserved seats and general admission areas in one map.
- Price each section, or each group of rows, differently.
- Offer more than one ticket type on the same seats, such as adult and concession prices.
- Use the same venue layout for many events.
- Run multi-day events where buyers pick a seat for each day.
Notes
- You can't set up single seats individually, for example one wheelchair space in a row. Put special seats in their own row or section, then link them to their own tier. See How do I link seats, rows and GA areas to my ticket tiers?.
