Create your event as a draft, ask us to turn on reserved seating for it, choose your venue layout, then add ticket tiers and link each one to its seats. Once every tier has seats, you can publish.
Before you start
Build your venue layout. See How do I build a seating layout for my venue?. You can do this before or after we turn on seating.
Set up the event
- Create your event and fill in the Details step. Leave it as a draft. See How do I create a new event?.
- Submit a support request asking for reserved seating on the event. We'll let you know when it's on.
- Open the event again. Under Venue Layout, choose your venue. The Venue Display Name and Venue Address fill in from the venue. Change them if you need to.
- Click Save & Next.
- In the Tickets step, add a tier for each price and link it to its seats. See How do I link seats, rows and GA areas to my ticket tiers?.
- Finish the Design and Checkout steps as normal.
- Click Publish.
The Seat Map step
Seated events have an extra step, Seat Map. Use it to check or change which layout each session uses.
- Default venue (all sessions): the layout every session uses unless you set an override.
- Per-session overrides: choose a different layout for one session, for example when a show moves to another venue for one night.
Changes in this step save straight away.
Different venues for different sessions
If a session has its own venue layout, it ignores the default. Tiers need seat assignments for that session's layout, or nothing will be available to buy for that session. Check each session's tiers after you set an override. See How do I set up different tickets for each session?.
Before you publish
The bar at the bottom of each step shows how far through set-up you are, and anything to check, such as a missing banner. A ticket tier with no seats assigned stops you publishing, because buyers would have nothing to buy.
Notes
- Draft events can only be seen by your company admins. Open your event page while logged in to test the seat map before you publish.
- A tier's Quantity still caps how many tickets it can sell. Set it to the number of seats you've linked to the tier, or lower if you want to limit it.
- Check your layout before you go on sale. Once tickets have sold, submit a support request before you change the layout.
Still stuck?
Submit a support request and we'll check your set-up before you go on sale.
