How do I create a new event?

Created by Ticketing Support, Modified on Mon, 26 Oct at 2:55 AM by Ticketing Support

Click New Event at the top right of the admin, fill in your event details, then work through the Tickets, Add-ons, Design and Checkout steps. Your event stays a draft until you click Publish.

Before you start

Have these ready:

  • Your event name, date, start and end times, and venue address.
  • Your ticket types, prices and how many of each you want to sell.
  • A banner image, ideally 2400 x 1256 px (at least 1920 x 1005 px). See What image sizes do I need for my event?.

Create your event

  1. Click New Event at the top right of the admin.
  2. Fill in the Details step, then click Create Event. Creating an event, step 1: Details
  3. Add your ticket tiers in the Tickets step. Creating an event, step 2: Tickets
  4. Add any extras, such as parking or merchandise, in the Add-ons step. You can skip this. Creating an event, step 3: Add-ons
  5. Upload your images in the Design step. Creating an event, step 4: Design
  6. Choose what to ask buyers in the Checkout step. Creating an event, step 5: Checkout
  7. Click Publish when you're ready to go on sale. What's the difference between a draft and a published event?

Moving between steps

  • Save & Next saves your changes and moves to the next step.
  • Save & Close saves your changes and takes you back to your events list.
  • You can also click any step name at the top to jump straight to it.

Notes

  • Check the private setting. New events are set to private, so they don't appear in public listings. If you want your event to appear on the Pulse home page, turn off Is this event private? in the Details step under Advanced Settings.
  • The bottom of each step shows anything that still needs checking before you publish, such as a missing banner.
  • Running the same event again? Clone an existing event instead of starting from scratch.
